The O-Deaf Film Awards is a proposed international awards programme of the International Deaf Film Association (IDFA), created to recognize outstanding films and honor Deaf and hearing filmmakers, actors, directors, screenwriters, and artists. Awards will be determined according to IDFA’s official rules, eligibility requirements, and judging procedures. The programme aims to advance Deaf cinema, celebrate sign languages and cultural diversity, and promote equality, inclusion, and international opportunities throughout the film industry.

IDFA promotes films created by Deaf and hearing filmmakers worldwide, celebrating diverse voices, cultures, and visual storytelling. This includes Deaf-led films, productions by hearing filmmakers, and inclusive collaborations featuring sign languages, captions, subtitles, and accessible communication.
